Hi everyone! I would like to share this my recipe, I prepare this for my lunch today. So you can also try it on your own. The chicken comes out flavorful with a sweet and tangy glaze. Its the best pair of fried rice with potato but you can try it with plain rice and add some broth of chicken. Check it out and share your very own combination. Enjoy!
Soy Sauce Chicken
Soy sauce chicken is a traditional Cantonese cuisine dish made of chicken cooked with soy sauce. It is considered as a siu mei dish in Hong Kong.

Ingredients
- 5 pounds bone-in chicken thighs with skin
- 1/2 cup of dark soy sauce
- 1 cup of water
- 4 tbsp white sugar
- 3 cloves of garlic - minced
- 1/4 ginger- chop
- 4 pcs Scallion - chop
- Black pepper
Procedure
- Using a stock pot, combine the water, sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, scallion, and black pepper. Continue to stir until sugar is dissolved. Marinate the chicken in 5 minutes. After bring to boil. Simmer over medium heat for 30-40 minutes until chicken is cooked.
- Remove pot from the heat. Place chicken on a platter.
Fried Rice with potato
Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients
- 2 cloves of garlic - flatten
- 1/2 Onion for garnish (slice the onion half before the stem)
- Oil
- Rice
- Salt
- Pepper
- 2 pcs of Potato - sliced in cubes.
Procedure
- Prepare the pan into a medium heat, Add a little bit of oil. Then place the onion and wait until the onion cooked. After onion cooked, remove and place in a separate plate. (we use this onion for garnish)
- Put garlic into a pan, add potato stir until cooked. Add rice, salt, and pepper and cooked in just 10 minutes and remove the pan from the heat.
Preparation
- Prepare a bowl and put fried rice. You can add chicken broth to rice.
- Add Chicken and egg on top, and onion for garnish.
- Then, ready to share!
