Milk Bread Toast
Want soft and fluffy bread for breakfast? This milk-toast bread is an easy, old-fashioned, and improved-tasting recipe. Did you know that this is an old-style recipe from the 19th and 20th centuries? They soak the bread in fresh milk and serve it to those suffering from illnesses or gastrointestinal problems to easily digest; however, my recipe is inspired by Japanese bread. This has an incredibly soft texture, a sweet and salty flavor, and is so creamy, made with a poached egg. I am sure your kids will love it too.
Ingredients:
- Butter
- Bread (Japanese bread or any type of bread you want)
- Brown sugar
- Fresh milk
- Melted white cheese
- Condense Milk
- 1 pc. egg (optional)
- Pinch of salt to taste
Instruction:
- Prepare three slices of bread, and spread the room temp of butter and brown sugar on the first slice. Then add the melted white cheese to the second layer of bread.
- Bring the pan to a low heat. Add the prepared bread until lightly toasted.
- Pour the fresh milk directly onto the bread.
- Add 1 tablespoon of butter and toast both sides of the bread until the fresh milk directly soaks in the bread. Then remove it from the pan and transfer it to a plate and add some condensed milk.
- Bring a pot of water to a gentle boil, then add vinegar. Meanwhile, crack one egg into a small cup.
- Begin stirring the boiling water in a large, circular motion, like swirling like a tornado. Then carefully add the egg.
- Cook for about 2 minutes.
- Use a slotted type of spoon to remove the egg. Then add it to the top of your bread and pinch a small amount of rock salt to taste.
- Now ready to serve! So easy, right? Enjoy your perfecto breakfast!
